Corporate Partnerships: Building a Legacy Together

At Sherwood Park Hall, we believe that local businesses are vital engines of community vitality. We invite forward-thinking organizations to partner with our CIO to create extraordinary social impact. By aligning your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals with our empowering programs, you aren’t just donating—you are investing in the resilience and flourishing of the Mitcham community.

Why Partner with Sherwood Park Hall?

A partnership with us offers your team a meaningful way to connect with the heart of Pollards Hill. We provide transparent, high-impact opportunities that demonstrate your commitment to social value.

  • Demonstrate Local Leadership: Showcase your brand as a compassionate leader in the Merton area.

  • Employee Engagement: Boost team morale through spirited volunteer days and heartfelt community projects.

  • Measured Impact: Receive updates on how your support has contributed to foundational learning, food security, and social connection.

  • Tax relief Bonus: Partnering with a registered charity is a tax-efficient way to give; limited companies can usually deduct the full value of their donation from their total profits before Corporation Tax is calculated, effectively reducing their tax bill while maximising local impact.”

How Your Business Claims Tax Relief

Supporting Sherwood Park Hall CIO is simple and tax-efficient. When your limited company makes a donation to us, you do not “claim back” the tax in the way an individual might. Instead, the process works through Corporation Tax deduction:

  1. Deduct the Donation: Your company deducts the full value of the donation from its total business profits before calculating Corporation Tax.

  2. Lower Your Bill: Because your taxable profit is now lower, the amount of Corporation Tax your business pays is reduced.

  3. Record Keeping: Simply keep a record of your donation (your bank statement or our “Thank You” receipt) and include the amount in the “Charitable Donations” section of your Company Tax Return (form CT600).

Note: This applies to monetary gifts, equipment, and even the “secondment” of employees. For full details on how to report these gifts, please visit the Official GOV.UK Guidance on Tax Relief.
