What You need to know

Our Kids’ Sewing Club is a fun and creative way for children to learn a skill for life while exploring their imagination. Guided by a qualified and experienced teacher, children will use donated fabrics and up-cycled clothes to design and make unique items, learning the importance of sustainability along the way. Sewing encourages patience, problem solving, and confidence, helping every child feel proud of what they create.  With expert support, sewing becomes an exciting journey of creativity, learning, and self-expression!

What Times?

What is Provided?
All materials are provided, easy to use sewing machines, thread, needles, scissors, measuring tape

Sherwood Park Hall, Recreational Ground, Abbotts Road, Mitcham CR4 1JP
How it works
Suitable for Ages 7-11, a 6 week programme learning from basics skills, machine basics, creativity and up-cycling.
The Cost
£ 90 /Per Term

  • Week 1 Children will feel confident handling needles, thread and fabrics
  • Week 2 Children can use more than one stitch and how to create structures
  • Week 3 Children will have their first completed project giving confidence
  • Week 4 Children will understand sustainability and it’s impact
  • Week 5 Children will complete 2nd more detailed project
  • Week 6 Complete projects confidently and showcase
