Sherwoods Park Hall’s Kids Cooking Club is part of our “Merton Eats Healthy Eating campaign” the club not only equips children with lifelong skills but also nurtures creativity, teamwork, and curiosity—building healthier, happier, and more open-minded young people for the future.
A key part of the program is exploring foods from around the world, introducing children to different nationalities and cultures through their traditional dishes. This helps promote acceptance, appreciation, and respect for diversity, showing how food brings people together across cultures.
In addition, the club directly addresses childhood obesity by making healthy eating fun and accessible. By learning to cook fresh, balanced meals, children are empowered to make better food choices at home and in school.
