At the heart of our community hub is the Community Cupboard—a reliable source of basic necessities and kindness for our neighbours who are facing hardship. Sherwood Park Hall have partnered and working with the Community Care Collective Organisation who are committed to tackling local food and hygiene insecurity head-on, ensuring that no one in our area has to go without life’s essentials.
Why We Do It: Our Commitment to the Community
We support the operation of the Community Cupboard because we recognise that life throws unexpected challenges at people, and too many families and individuals are struggling to cover the costs of basic items. This gap in provision is often too immediate for external services to fill.
Our Core Belief: We believe that access to nutritious food and hygiene products is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Community Care Collective Organisation are committed to stocking the cupboard four times every week, the aim to provide consistent, easy-to-access support that allows people to use their limited finances for other critical expenses like rent or utilities.
