About us - Who We Are
We offer accessible, low-cost activities that support physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and help tackle local inequalities.
To serve the Pollards Hill community the best we can, we run a variety of programmes and free events including Little Learners (our early years club), BriteBox, Sherwood Holiday Club, Sherwood Buttons (over 50’s club), and Sherwood Sundays.

What We Do
- Support marginalised and ethnically diverse groups with inclusive programmes and outreach that reflect the community we serve
- Help prevent and reduce the impact of poverty through food support, low-cost holiday clubs, and life skills workshops
- Offer access to green spaces with outdoor events and community days in our secure garden
- Offer an affordable space for our community to hire for private functions, classes and workshops
A Vision for Connection and Growth
At Sherwood Park Hall, we believe that the environment in which a community meets is just as important as the meetings themselves. While our heritage is rooted in providing essential services, our future is focused on creating an inspiring “third space” for Mitcham—a place that feels like home, yet sparks the imagination. We don’t just host events; we curate experiences that celebrate the diversity and resilience of Pollards Hill.
Our role as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) allows us to be agile and responsive. We are currently evolving our hub to bridge the gap between traditional community support and modern social enterprise. By integrating high-quality event aesthetics with our grassroots mission, we ensure that every visitor—whether attending a high-level corporate volunteer day or a local “Sherwood Buttons” workshop—feels the warmth and professional care that defines our hall.
As we look ahead, our focus remains on sustainable impact. We are expanding our partnerships to provide even more pathways for youth employment and creative skill-sharing. By choosing to support or hire Sherwood Park Hall, you are directly investing in a vision where no resident is isolated, and every individual has a space to create, connect, and thrive. Together, we are building a legacy of community pride, one “wow” moment at a time.
